About

In the first year of my PhD in Philosophy, University of Sheffield. Previous degrees: MA in Political Theory (Sheffield); BA and MA (fil. mag.) in Political Science, BA in Practical Philosophy (Uppsala).

My philosophical interests tend to concern liberalism in one or another aspect, such as its justification, metaethical foundations (esp. moral constructivism), the role of the market, global justice, and the relationship between liberalism and democratic theory, but I'm also interested in metaethics, not least contemporary forms of expressivism and anti-realism. I maintain a strong hobby interest in ancient philosophy and the history of political thought.

I blog intermittently (in Swedish) about politics and philosophy from a liberal perspective at Isonomia (davidekstrand.blogspot.com).
