About

I studied for my undergraduate degree in the Department of Biblical Studies at the University of Sheffield before completing a PhD on the representation of Eve in contemporary postfeminist advertising in 2008, also at the University of Sheffield's Department of Biblical Studies. My research interests include the use, influence and impact of the Bible in culture; popular cultural appropriations of the biblical text; cultural  representations of religious icons and the social, sexual and racial messages they convey.

I am currently Project Coordinator for Biblical Studies External and Community Relations at the University of Sheffield.

I'm also completing the dissertation element of a Masters in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (M.Ed.), which follows the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PCHE) I completed in 2004, and I'm Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

My doctoral thesis is due to be published by Sheffield Phoenix Press.
